I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
